Janelle Monáe Announces New Album, The Age of Pleasure

Janelle Monáe has announced her first album in five years, The Age of Pleasure. The album is set to be released on June 9, 2023.

Monáe teased the album announcement on social media with a short video of her emerging from a pool. The video was accompanied by the caption, "The Age of Pleasure is coming."

The Age of Pleasure is the follow-up to Monáe's 2018 album, Dirty Computer. The album was a critical and commercial success, and it was nominated for five Grammy Awards.
