The cause of death for Kellie Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs, has been confirmed as suicide. The songwriter and producer died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in their Nashville home on February 17, 2023, according to a spokesperson for the Davidson Country Medical Examiner. He was 49 years old.
Jacobs and Pickler were married in 2013 and have two children together. They were both well-known in the country music industry. Jacobs was a successful songwriter who wrote several hit songs for Pickler, including “I Wonder” and “Best Days of Your Life.” Pickler is a Grammy-nominated singer who has released six studio albums.
The news of Jacobs’ death has shocked the country music community. Many artists have taken to social media to express their condolences, including Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, and Dolly Parton.
