U.K. Music Charts Set for Showdown as PinkPantheress Threatens Miley Cyrus' Chart Reign
The U.K. music charts are set for an interesting showdown this week, as PinkPantheress's "Boy's a liar" climbs to No. 2, threatening Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" from taking its sixth chart title. The British singer, songwriter, and producer's viral hit has reached a career-high, climbing 8-3 on the most recent chart and featuring a new cut with Ice Spice. Meanwhile, Cyrus' "Flowers" currently leads the Official Chart Update and is likely to hold its course for a sixth consecutive week at No. 1, making it the longest-reigning No.1 single in 2023. Other tracks making their way up the chart include Rema's "Calm Down" at 8-5, Tiësto and Tate McRae's "10:35" at 10-7, and Coi Leray's "Players" at 11-8.
Niall Horan's "Heaven" is the highest new entry on the chart, set to debut at No. 12 from his forthcoming third solo album, The Show. The former One Direction member has had two top 10 singles and one album chart crown since the band disbanded in 2015. Lastly, Pink's "Trustfall" from her latest album is expected to climb from 37-11, and her album track "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" is also seeing a significant jump from 39-19. The Official Chart will be published on Friday, revealing which songs have made it to the top of the U.K. charts.
